ומלכת שבא שמעת ית שמע שלמה לשמא דיי ואתת לנסיותיה בחודאין:
bkhwdayn lnsywthyh wathth dyy lshma shlmh shme yth shmeth shba wmlkth
When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning Yahweh’s name, she came to test him with hard questions.

ואתת לירושלם במשרין סגיאין לחדא גמלין טעונין בוסמנין ודהבא סגי לחדא ואבנין טבן ואתת לות שלמה ומלילת עמיה ית כל די הוה עם לבה:
lbh em hwh dy kl yth emyh wmlylth shlmh lwth wathth Tbn wabnyn lkhda sgy wdhba bwsmnyn Tewnyn gmlyn lkhda sgyayn bmshryn lyrwshlm wathth
She came to Jerusalem with a very great caravan, with camels that bore spices, very much gold, and precious stones; and when she had come to Solomon, she talked with him about all that was in her heart.

וחוי לה שלמה ית כל פתגמהא לא הוה מדעם דאתכסא מן מלכא דלא חוי לה:
lh khwy dla mlka mn dathksa mdem hwh la pthgmha kl yth shlmh lh wkhwy
Solomon answered all her questions. There wasn’t anything hidden from the king which he didn’t tell her.

וחזת מלכת שבא ית כל חוכמת שלמה וביתא די בנא:
bna dy wbytha shlmh khwkmth kl yth shba mlkth wkhzth
When the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,

ומיכל פתוריה ואסחרות עבדוהי ומקם משומשנוהי ולבושיהון ושקיותיה ועלתיה דמסיק בית מקדשא דיי ולא אשתאר בה עוד רוח:
rwkh ewd bh ashthar wla dyy mqdsha byth dmsyq welthyh wshqywthyh wlbwshyhwn mshwmshnwhy wmqm ebdwhy waskhrwth pthwryh wmykl
the food of his table, the sitting of his servants, the attendance of his officials, their clothing, his cup bearers, and his ascent by which he went up to Yahweh’s house, there was no more spirit in her.

ואמרת למלכא קושטא הוה פתגמא די שמעית בארעי על פתגמך ועל חוכמתך:
khwkmthk wel pthgmk el barey shmeyth dy pthgma hwh qwshTa lmlka wamrth
She said to the king, “It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts and of your wisdom.

ולא הימנית לפתגמיא עד דאתיתי וחזאה עיני והא לא אתחוא לי פלגו מה דחזיתי אוספתא חוכמתא וטבתא על שמועתא די שמעית:
shmeyth dy shmwetha el wTbtha khwkmtha awsptha dkhzythy mh plgw ly athkhwa la wha eyny wkhzah dathythy ed lpthgmya hymnyth wla
However, I didn’t believe the words until I came and my eyes had seen it. Behold, not even half was told me! Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame which I heard.

טובי גברך טובי עבדך אלין דקימין קדמך תדירא דשמעין ית חוכמתך:
khwkmthk yth dshmeyn thdyra qdmk dqymyn alyn ebdk Twby gbrk Twby
Happy are your men, happy are these your servants who stand continually before you, who hear your wisdom.

יהי יי אלהך בריך דאתרעי בך למתנך על כורסי מלכותא דישראל ברחימת יי ית ישראל לעלם ומניך למהוי מלכא למעבד דין דקשוט וזכו:
wzkw dqshwT dyn lmebd mlka lmhwy wmnyk lelm yshral yth yy brkhymth dyshral mlkwtha kwrsy el lmthnk bk dathrey bryk alhk yy yhy
Blessed is Yahweh your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel. Because Yahweh loved Israel forever, therefore he made you king, to do justice and righteousness.”

ויהבת למלכא מאה ועסרין ככרין דהבא ובוסמנין סגי לחדא ואבנין טבן לא אתא כבוסמניא האינון עוד לסגי די יהבת מלכת שבא למלכא שלמה:
shlmh lmlka shba mlkth yhbth dy lsgy ewd haynwn kbwsmnya atha la Tbn wabnyn lkhda sgy wbwsmnyn dhba kkryn wesryn mah lmlka wyhbth
She gave the king one hundred twenty talents of gold, and a very great quantity of spices, and precious stones. Never again was there such an abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.

ואף ספינתא דחירם דמיתא דהבא מאופיר איתיאת מאופיר אעי אלמוגין סגי לחדא ואבנין טבן:
Tbn wabnyn lkhda sgy almwgyn aey mawpyr aythyath mawpyr dhba dmytha dkhyrm spyntha wap
The fleet of Hiram that brought gold from Ophir also brought in from Ophir great quantities of almug trees and precious stones.

ועבד מלכא ית אעי אלמוגיא סעיד לבית מקדשא דיי ולבית מלכא וכנוריא ונבליא לבני לוי לא אתו כן אעי אלמוגין ולא אתחזיאו עד יומא הדין:
hdyn ywma ed athkhzyaw wla almwgyn aey kn athw la lwy lbny wnblya wknwrya mlka wlbyth dyy mqdsha lbyth seyd almwgya aey yth mlka webd
The king made of the almug trees pillars for Yahweh’s house and for the king’s house, harps also and stringed instruments for the singers; no such almug trees came or were seen to this day.

ומלכא שלמה יהב למלכת שבא ית כל רעותה דשאלית בר מדמני לה כעותר ידא דמלכא שלמה ואתפניאת ואזלת לארעה היא ועבדהא:
webdha hya lareh wazlth wathpnyath shlmh dmlka yda kewthr lh mdmny br dshalyth rewthh kl yth shba lmlkth yhb shlmh wmlka
King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, in addition to that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.

והוה מתקל דהבא די הוה אתי לשלמה בשתא חדא שית מאה שתין ושית ככרי דהבא:
dhba kkry wshyth shthyn mah shyth khda bshtha lshlmh athy hwh dy dhba mthql whwh
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,

בר מאגר אומניא וסחורת תגריא וכל מלכי סומכותא ושלטוני ארעא:
area wshlTwny swmkwtha mlky wkl thgrya wskhwrth awmnya magr br
in addition to that which the traders brought, and the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of the mixed people, and of the governors of the country.

ועבד מלכא שלמה מאתן תריסין דהבא טבא שית מאה דהבא מסיק על תריסא חדא:
khda thrysa el msyq dhba mah shyth Tba dhba thrysyn mathn shlmh mlka webd
King Solomon made two hundred bucklers of beaten gold; six hundred shekels of gold went to one buckler.

ותלת מאה מגנין דהבא טבא תלתא מנן דהבא מסיק על מגינא חדא ומנינון מלכא בית מקירת מלכיא:
mlkya mqyrth byth mlka wmnynwn khda mgyna el msyq dhba mnn thltha Tba dhba mgnyn mah wthlth
He made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three minas of gold went to one shield; and the king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.

ועבד מלכא כורסיא דשינא רבא וחפהי דהבא טבא:
Tba dhba wkhphy rba dshyna kwrsya mlka webd
Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the finest gold.
19
שיתא דרגין לכורסיא וריש סגלגל לכורסיא מאחרוהי ואשדתא מכא ומכא על אתר מותבא ותרין אריון קימין בסטר אשדתא:
ashdtha bsTr qymyn arywn wthryn mwthba athr el wmka mka washdtha makhrwhy lkwrsya sglgl wrysh lkwrsya drgyn shytha
There were six steps to the throne, and the top of the throne was round behind; and there were armrests on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the armrests.

ותרי עשר אריון קימין תמן על שתא דרגין מכא ומכא לא אתעבד כן לכל מלכותא:
mlkwtha lkl kn athebd la wmka mka drgyn shtha el thmn qymyn arywn eshr wthry
Twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other on the six steps. Nothing like it was made in any kingdom.

וכל מני משתיא דמלכא שלמה דהבא וכל מני בית מקרת מלכא דהבא טבא לית כספא לא אתחשיב ביומי שלמה למדעם:
lmdem shlmh bywmy athkhshyb la kspa lyth Tba dhba mlka mqrth byth mny wkl dhba shlmh dmlka mshthya mny wkl
All King Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of pure gold. None were of silver, because it was considered of little value in the days of Solomon.

ארי ספינתא אפריקא למלכא בימא עם ספינתא דחירם חדא לתלת שנין אתיא ספינת אפריקא טעינא דהב וכסף שן דפיל וקופין וטוסין:
wTwsyn wqwpyn dpyl shn wksp dhb Teyna apryqa spynth athya shnyn lthlth khda dkhyrm spyntha em byma lmlka apryqa spyntha ary
For the king had a fleet of ships of Tarshish at sea with Hiram’s fleet. Once every three years the fleet of Tarshish came bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.

ורבא מלכא שלמה מכל מלכי ארעא לעותר ולחוכמא:
wlkhwkma lewthr area mlky mkl shlmh mlka wrba
So King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.
24
וכל דיירי ארעא בען למחוי ית סבר אפי שלמה למשמע ית חוכמתיה דיהב יי בלביה:
blbyh yy dyhb khwkmthyh yth lmshme shlmh apy sbr yth lmkhwy ben area dyyry wkl
All the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom which God had put in his heart.
25
ואינון מיתן גבר קורבניה מני כספא ומני דהבא ולבושין ומני זינא ובוסמנין סוסון וכודנון גזירת שנא בשנא:
bshna shna gzyrth wkwdnwn swswn wbwsmnyn zyna wmny wlbwshyn dhba wmny kspa mny qwrbnyh gbr mythn waynwn
Year after year, every man brought his tribute, vessels of silver, vessels of gold, clothing, armor, spices, horses, and mules.

וכנש שלמה רתיכין ופרשין והוו ליה אלף וארבע מאה רתיכין ותרי עסר אלפין פרשין ואשרינון בקירוי רתיכיא בר מדהוו עם מלכא בירושלם:
byrwshlm mlka em mdhww br rthykya bqyrwy washrynwn prshyn alpyn esr wthry rthykyn mah warbe alp lyh whww wprshyn rthykyn shlmh wknsh
Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen. He had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen. He kept them in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.
27
ויהב מלכא ית כספא בירושלם כאבניא וית ארזיא יהב כשקמיא דבשפלתא לסגי:
lsgy dbshpltha kshqmya yhb arzya wyth kabnya byrwshlm kspa yth mlka wyhb
The king made silver as common as stones in Jerusalem, and cedars as common as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland.

ומתפקין סוסותא דלשלמה ממצרים ומקוה תגרי מלכא זבנין מקוה בדמין:
bdmyn mqwh zbnyn mlka thgry wmqwh mmtsrym dlshlmh swswtha wmthpqyn
The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt. The king’s merchants received them in droves, each drove at a price.

וסלקא ונפקא רתיכא ממצרים בשית מאה כספא וסוסותא במאה וחמשין וכן לכל מלכי חתאי ומלכי ארם ברעותהון נפקין:
npqyn brewthhwn arm wmlky khthay mlky lkl wkn wkhmshyn bmah wswswtha kspa mah bshyth mmtsrym rthyka wnpqa wslqa
A chariot was imported from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for one hundred fifty shekels; and so they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and to the kings of Syria.
